Interracial Baseball Games: 1926

Two series of interracial games have been found for 1926. A team of American League All Stars (ALS), organized by Earle Mack, barnstormed in the mid-Atlantic. Their opponents included the Hilldale Giants (HIL) of the Eastern Colored League and the Homestead Grays (HOM), who were independent, but major-league caliber, in 1926.

The second set of games were played between Joe Pirrone's All Stars (PIR) and the Philadelphia Royal Giants (PRG) as part of the California Winter League.

In addition, we have one game between the Brooklyn Royal Giants and the Babe Ruth All-Stars. A scorecard for this game was generously shared with Retrosheet by the nephew of the starting pitcher for the Babe Ruth All-Stars, Rube Oehme.
