The 1928 interracial games are somewhat different from the surrounding years in that they include only one game played in California, between an All-Star team put together by Joe Pirrone (PIR) and a team called the Cleveland Giants (CLG). In addition, games have been found in Baltimore between the Black Sox (BLS) and a white "All-Star" team (ASB), several games played between the Homestead Grays (HOM) and an American League All-Star team (ALS), and games between a major-league All-Star team (MLS) and the Hilldale Giants (HIL).
