The 1942 season included two rare midseason interracial matchups featuring an All-Star team headlined by Dizzy Dean (ASD). They played the Kansas City Monarchs (KCM) at Wrigley Field and the Homestead Grays (HOM) at Griffith Stadium. Play-by-play accounts have been deduced for these games from newspaper stories and box scores.
We also have several games played in Southern California in October and November featuring a black barnstorming team that called itself the Philadelphia Royal Giants (PRG) and white All-Star teams organized by Joe Pirrone (PIR) and Kent Parker (PRK).
