IN the top of the fourth, Miguel Sano's fly to right hit above the scoreboard and below the yellow line and bounced back into the field for a double. The replay ordered by crew chief Fieldin Culbreth confirmed the call.

Michael Conforto's fly in the top of the fifth just cleared the wall into the flower bed and bounced back into the field. It was ruled in play for a double, but the review requested by crew chief Joe West overturned the call to a home run.

In the bottom of the sixth, Carlos Gonzalez's fly to left landed in Corry Spangenberg's glove, but he was unable to hold onto the ball, which dropped into the stands, as his glove hit the top of the wall. However, a fan whose hands were on the yellow line at the top of the fence, but not over the fence into the field of play, may have touched the glove and caused the dropped ball. It was ruled a homer, and the call was upheld after the review ordered by crew chief Brian Gorman. Padres manager Andy Green came out to argue about the call and was immediately ejected as that is not allowed.

In the bottom of the ninth, Byron Buxton hit a fly down the left line that would have tied the game if fair, but it curved foul. That ruling was confirmed by the review requested by crew chief Alfonso Marquez.

4/11 MIL @ SLN
In the bottom of the ninth, Tommy Pham's drive to left hit the screen just above the wall and bounced back into the field for a double. After the review asked for by crew chief Bill Welke, the ruling was overturned to a home run.

Scooter Gennett's fly to left in the top of the ninth hit the top of the wall and bounced back into play for a double. That call was confirmed by the replay review requested by crew chief Jerry Meals.

4/14 ARI @ LAD
In the top of the fourth with runners on first and third, Deven Marrero hit a fly to left center that just cleared the wall. Alex Avila, the runner on first started back to the bag to tag up and Marrero briefly passed behind and ahead of him. The play was first ruled to be a three-run homer, but the replay ordered by crew chief Brian Gorman overturned it to a two-run single with Marrero called out for passing Avila..

4/17 CLE @ MIN, played in San Juan, Puerto Rico
In the top of the eighth, Yonder Alonso's high fly down the right field line went over the pole, which does not extend as high as in a major league park. It was ruled a home run, and after the review requested by crew chief Gary Cederstrom, the call stood. As a note, the replay review was not done in New York but locally by a fifth umpire.

Renato Nunez's fly to right in the top of the fifth was caught by a fan who reached over the top of the fence. It was ruled a double due to fan interference, which was upheld after the replay review about possible fan interference preventing a home run requested by crew chief Alfonso Marquez.

Chad Pinder hit a fly down the right field line in the bottom of the first that curved foul. It was ruled that way, which was upheld by the review requested by crew chief Brian Gorman.

In the top of the first, Willson Contreras hit a fly to center that hit the top of the wall and bounced into play for a double. A fan had reached with a glove for the ball and may have touched it. The replay review ordered by crew chief Greg Gibson upheld to call.

Nelson Cruz's high fly down the left field line in the top of the fourth went just above the pole and was ruled to be foul. The review ordered by crew chief Gary Cederstrom upheld the call. However, Cruz hit a homer to left later in the at bat.

In the bottom of the eleventh, Andrew Knapp's drive to left hit the short fence above the wall and took an unusual bounce back into the field, which enabled him to reach third for a triple. The review asked for by crew chief Bill Welke confirmed that outcome.

Robinson Cano's fly to left in the top of the fifth hit the yellow line at the top of wall and bounced back into the field. It was ruled a home run, but the replay requested by crew chief Mark Wegner overturned the call to a double.

In the bottom of the ninth in a scoreless game, Corey Dickerson hit a drive to right that a fan reached for and caught with his bare hands. It was ruled to be a home run. The replay review ordered by crew chief Mike Winters showed the ball was caught after it cleared the wall, so it remained a game-ending homer.

In the top of the sixth, Dansby Swanson hit a high fly down the left field line that curved just to the left of the pole, and it was ruled as a foul ball. The review called for by crew chief Fieldin Culbreth confirmed the call.

Logan Morrison's fly to right center in the bottom of the first hit on top of the wall possibly clearing it before bouncing back into the field and was ruled a home run. The review ordered by crew chief Ted Barrett upheld the call.

In the top of the third, Odubel Herrera leaped high and reached over the wall to catch Freddie Freeman's fly to deep center. The review ordered by crew chief Kerwin Danley checked to see if the ball had first hit one of the shrubs beyond the fence before being caught. The call of a catch for an out was confirmed.

Alen Hanson's drive to right center was touched by a fan after it cleared the wall and dropped back onto the field. It was ruled a homer, and the call was upheld by the review ordered by crew chief Dan Iassogna.

In the bottom of the fifth, Max Stassi hit a fly to right that Stephen Piscotty had lined up and was jumping to make the catch when a fan reached over the wall and caught the ball just above Piscotty's glove. The play was ruled an out due to fan interference by second base umpire Dan Bellino, and the call was confirmed by the review requested by crew chief Tom Hallion.

Hernan Perez's drive to left in the top of the seventh cleared the wall, hit a seat, and bounced back into the field. It was called a home run, and the replay review ordered by crew chief Mike Winters confirmed the call.

A high drive to right center by Brandon Belt in the bottom of the sixth hit the railing just above the top of the wall and bouncded back into the field for a double. However, the review ordered by crew chief Brian O'Nora overturned the call to a home run.

In the bottom of the eighth, Jose Altuve's fly to right hit the netting below the yellow line, hit the lip of the fence under the netting and then caromed to the right and into the stands. It was ruled a homer, but the replay review ordered by crew chief Bill Miller overturned the call to a "ground-rule" double.

Michael Conforto's fly to center hit the yellow line at the top of the fence and bounced directly back into the field. It was ruled a home run, which it would have been if the ball had bounced off the higher wall just behind the fence. That ruling was overturned to double by the replay requested by crew chief Mike Winters.

In the bottom of the seventh, a fan reached out and caught Leonys Martin's fly to right well above the top of the fence. It was ruled a homer, which was upheld by the review ordered by crew chief Greg Gibson.

Anthony Rizzo hit a high fly in the top of the seventh to right center that was caught by a Cubs fan above the yellow line and his momentum caused him to reach over the fence. It was called a homer, and the replay requested by crew chief Gerry Davis confirmed the call.

In the bottom of the fifth, Eduardo Nunez hit a fly to left that just cleared the top of the Green Monster's wall and was caught by a fan who reached over the flat area in front of the seats. It was called a homer, and the replay requested by crew chief Jerry Layne confirmed the call.

Jorge Soler's fly to left center in the bottom of the second hit the padding at the top of the wall and bounced back into the field. It was ruled a home run, but the review requested by crew chief Tom Hallion overturned the call to a double that scored the runner from first.

A fan reached over the wall to try to catch Jake Lamb's fly to left in the bottom of the eighth. The ball fell out of his glove into the field, and the call was a home run. However, the replay ordered by crew chief Bill Welke reversed the call to a double.

In the top of the twelfth, Yolmer Sanchez hit a fly to right that Brandon Dixon leaped above the top of the wall to try to catch. The ball hit in his glove, and as Dixon was pulling his arm back, both the ball and the glove landed in the field. Sanchez reached third, and the call was a homer-robbing triple, which was confirmed by the review ordered by crew chief Gary Cederstrom.

A fan reached over the angled portion of the wall to catch Javier Baez's fly into the right field corner in the top of the second. The fan dropped the ball onto the field and Baez reached second. The review requested by crew chief Sam Holbrook overturned the call to a ground-rule double due to fan interference. This was an unsual case where an overturned ruling did not change the outcome as there were no men on base. The review was made to determine if it might have been a homer.

In the bottom of the first, Starling Marte's fly to right center cleared the fence and a fan in the second row tried to catch it. It was called a homer, which was confirmed when crew chief Kerwin Danley asked for a review.

Matt Adams hit a fly to right in the top of the eighth that a fan reached for, but did not touch, that hit the wall just above the orange line, so it was called a home run. Crew chief Bill Miller ordered a replay review, which confirmed the call.

Jon Jay leaped and reached into the stands to try to catch Eric Hosmer's fly to left center in the bottom of the fifth. A fan reached for the ball holding a glass of beer, and the ball hit the glass spilling beer on Jay and others while the ball fell into the stands. It was ruled a homer run, and the call was upheld by the replay called for by crew chief Eric Cooper because the fan had not reached beyond the wall.

In the bottom of the fifth, Jackie Bradley Jr. hit a fly to left that hit the top of the Green Monster and bounced back into the field. It was called a homer, but the call was overturned to a double by the replay ordered by crew chief Bill Miller.

Luke Voit hit a fly to right in the bottom of the sixth that a fan tried to catch, fumbled it forward a bit, and then picked the ball up off the top of the wall. It was called a home run, which was confirmed when crew chief Kerwin Danley called for a replay review.

9/20 KCA @ DET
In the top of the second, Brian Goodwin hit a fly to right center that a fan tried to catch about a foot directly above the yellow line at the top of the wall. The ball went through his hands, bounced on the top of the wall, off of a low railing above the wall, and back into the field. It was called a homer, and the call stood after the reveiw ordered by crew chief Brian Gorman.

9/23 MIL @ PIT
Orlando Arcia's line drive to left in the top of the second was caught in his glove by a young fan who reached over the wall, and it was ruled a double. The call was upheld by the replay review called for by crew chief Mike Winters.

9/25 ATL @ NYN
Michael Conforto hit a drive to center in the bottom of the third that hit the orange line right at the top of the wall and came back into the field. He reached second for a double, and the review ordered by crew chief Fieldin Culbreth confirmed the call.

9/26 KCA @ CIN
In the top of the fourth, Jorge Bonifacio hit a drive down the left field line that a fan reached in front of the pole and deflected the ball off the top of the wall and into the field. It was ruled fan interference and a double with the runner on first going at third, which stood after the replay requested by crew chief Tom Hallion.

9/26 DET @ MIN
Johnny Field's fly to left in the bottom of the fourth hit the concrete floor of the flower bed behind the wall and bounced back into the field. He stopped at second, and the call was a double, but the review ordered by crew chief Larry Vanover overturned the call to a home run.

10/17 BOS @ HOU, ALCS, game 4
In the bottom of the first, Jose Altuve hit a drive to right that was headed into the stands for a two-run homer when Mookie Betts leaped and apparently reached into the stands about to make a remarkable catch when a fan closed the glove before Betts could make the catch. The ball bounced back into the field, and right field umpire and crew chief Joe West ultimately ruled fan interference so Altuve was out. The replay review was inconclusive, so the out call stood.
