Retrosheet provides two ways to parse its event files.

Retrosheet provides two pieces of software, BEVENT.exe and BGAME.exe, to parse its event files. These tools can be downloaded here Documentation for these tools is provided here.

In addition to these tools, Retrosheet also offers parsed play-by-play data which can be downloaded here.
